Job Overview

The role of a Credit Risk Manager at Nedbank involves assessing and evaluating lending applications for Commercial clients to minimize impairments and maximize profit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Validating client information through analysing and reviewing credit applications to assess the viability of funding.
  • Appropriate client solutioning in line with their business model, meeting client expectations while adhering to credit processes.
  • Adapting to changes in legislation by redesigning credit processes, systems, policies, and procedures as required.
  • Supporting daily activities of the team by monitoring output and building intellectual capital.
  • Identifying development areas and aligning with a personal career plan.
  • Seeking opportunities to improve business processes and systems.
Requirements
  • NQF Level 7 or Higher in a Financial or Banking related field.
  • CIMA, Credit management degree or equivalent will be advantageous.
  • Valid driver's license and own reliable vehicle.
  • Min 5 Years' Credit Assessment / Credit Evaluation and decisioning experience within Banking environment.
  • Min 3 Years' Business Banking experience in evaluating current and prospective clients financial Statements and credit reports.
  • Firm understanding of legalities associated with lending and collateral.
  • 1 – 2 Years' experience in a Team Management / Supervisory would be an advantage.
  • Proven track-record on managing a large book.
  • Must be prepared to travel.
