Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager to lead our Core Planning and Optimization team at Isilumko Staffing. This key leadership role involves spearheading the efficient planning, design, and optimization of our core network infrastructure to meet the evolving business requirements of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the development of our core network strategy and architecture.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in the industry.
  • Drive short-term execution plans and maintain capacity to meet business needs.
  • Develop policies for hardware and software deployment to ensure efficient operations.
  • Ensure future-proof core network design to meet customer satisfaction and business requirements.
  • Implement processes for performance tracking and improvement to optimize network efficiency.
  • Collaborate with network and business departments to ensure alignment and effective communication.
  • Provide detailed design documentation for operations to ensure seamless execution.
  • Forecast, plan, and review Core network budgets to ensure effective resource allocation.
  • Manage expenditure in line with agreed budgets to ensure financial discipline.
  • Act as a technical representative in negotiations with suppliers to secure optimal deals.
  • Manage budgetary aspects and recruit top talent to ensure team success.
  • Set and manage KPIs for the reporting line to ensure accountability and performance.
  • Drive continuous improvements in processes to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Stay updated on technology trends and customer needs to ensure our network infrastructure remains competitive.
  • Approval signatory for Capex and Opex expenditure to ensure financial authority.
  • Engage in contract negotiations with suppliers to secure optimal deals.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree or National Technical Diploma in a relevant field.
  • Experience: Over 5 years in Mobile Core, with a strong understanding of RAN and IP technologies.
  • Training: Industry-specific training in core network technologies to ensure technical expertise.
