Mechanical Services Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Services Technician to join our team at Execustaff. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the plant and ensuring that uptime is at a required standard. Your strong mechanical background and problem-solving skills will be essential in controlling maintenance costs according to the budget, purchasing of spares and equipment, and managing projects. You will also be responsible for liaising with suppliers, implementing all Safety aspects within the Plant, and investigating and making recommendations with regard to improved performance of plant and machinery.

Key responsibilities include:

  • To maintain the plant and ensure that uptime is at a required standard.
  • Control Maintenance costs according to the budget.
  • Purchasing of Spares and Equipment.
  • Manage projects.
  • Liaison with suppliers.
  • Implementation of all Safety aspects within the Plant.
  • Investigate and make recommendations with regard to improved performance of plant and machinery.

Our ideal candidate will have a trade tested Mechanical Fitter background, minimum N4, and a certificate or diploma in supervisory management or a proven track record in a similar position. A minimum of 5 years in a similar position, above-average computer skills, hydraulic and pneumatic experience, and the ability to read CAD drawings are also essential.
