Sleep Disorder Specialist

About the RoleThis position is responsible for conducting diagnostic and therapeutic testing for all classifications of sleep disorders in accordance with established guidelines. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of polysomnography principles and be able to work independently, scoring sleep studies and providing patient education.

Qualifications and SkillsThe successful candidate will hold a degree in polysomnography or a related field and have at least one year of experience in sleep disorder testing. RPSGT certification and BLS training are also required. Excellent customer service and communication skills are essential for this role.

Key ResponsibilitiesPerform all types of polysomnograms, including overnight recordings and multiple sleep latency tests.Clean and disinfect equipment, ensuring proper maintenance and storage.Educate patients on testing procedures, sleep disorders, and treatment options.Maintain inventory of equipment and supplies, ordering as needed.
