HAHHH is seeking a skilled Medical Assistant - Inpatient to join our team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients and families.
Main Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, ambulating, meals and nourishment.
- Participate in the development and maintenance of a safe environment by utilizing interventions to de-escalate patients and if unsuccessful participates in restraints in accordance with training and education as directed.
- Takes and records vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure and pulse oxymetry).
- Performs EKG's, Point of Care (POC) tests and bladder scanning.
- Collects, labels and prepares specimens for transport to lab.
Requirements
- Minimum of a high school education or GED.
- Current Basic Life Support or Heart Saver certification.
- Must be able to read, write and communicate in English in a clear and concise manner.
