The Enaex Africa team is seeking an experienced Explosives MMU Controller to join our team in Mpumalanga, South Africa. As an Explosives MMU Controller, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe operation of the Mobile Manufacturing Unit (MMU) and maintaining high standards of quality control.Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct daily equipment pre-start safety checks and report any sub-standard conditions to the Site Supervisor.
  • Load the MMU with the correct raw materials.
  • Calibrate the MMU monthly to ensure accurate blend of raw materials.
  • Monitor safety systems during operation and identify abnormal conditions.
  • Be conversant with and able to control the IBIS control system.
  • Perform on-bench quality checks on drill patterns, blast hole depths, and stemming lengths.
  • Make up primers and prime blast holes.
  • Minimize and clean up raw material spillage and dispose of it correctly.
Requirements:
  • Grade 12 qualification.
  • Possession of a valid 14 Drivers' license with manual transmission experience.
  • At least 2 years of driving experience in the same license category.
  • Possession of a valid Professional Driver Permit for dangerous goods.
  • Fitness for work at heights.
Advantageous Qualifications:
  • Blasting Assistant Certificate.
  • Competency A Certificate.
  • Working at heights Certificate.
