Electrical Technologist Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Technologist to join our electrical engineering team. As an Electrical Technologist, you will be responsible for conducting assignments in the electrical engineering field, planning, organizing, and managing small to medium-sized projects, and making recommendations on alternate solutions to engineering problems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct assignments in the electrical engineering field, including the development and checking of load lists, single line diagrams, network diagrams, electrical schematic diagrams, hazardous area classification, diversification, and load factors.
  • Design and develop electrical networks, including fault level calculations, protection schemes, and power metering specifications.
  • Specify electrical equipment, including switchgear, distribution boards, motor control centers, transformers, UPSs, cables, lighting, and construction standards of installation.
  • Collaborate with other discipline engineers to ensure continuity of the design process and participate in design progress and coordination meetings.
  • Ensure the quality of model production by BIM/CAD teams for accuracy to design instructions.
Requirements:
  • 4+ years of experience after obtaining a BTech degree from an accredited university and registered as a Candidate Technologist ECSA.
  • Proficient in BIM software Revit.
