The Role

We are seeking an experienced Data Science Lead to join our team. In this role, you will work across a diverse portfolio of ambitious AI startups, supporting them in their data science ambitions and identifying opportunities to drive growth and innovation. You will collaborate closely with portfolio company founders and CTOs, crafting and adapting our theory of support for AI businesses.


Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with portfolio companies to support their data science initiatives.
  • Develop machine learning models and other data-driven solutions for portfolio companies.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage data and algorithms to deliver value and improve processes.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to enhance the use of data science and ML in production systems.
Requirements
  • Good knowledge of data science, statistical analysis, and data engineering.
  • Statistical learning methods and experience working with large, complex datasets.
  • Coding skills in Python or a suitable language for data science.
  • Ability to balance hands-on execution and strategic advice.
  • Experience deploying data services and infrastructure to production systems.
  • High emotional intelligence and empathy for founders and colleagues.
  • Organized with strong attention to detail and big-picture thinking.
  • Passion for defining and solving loosely defined problems.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • 5+ years of experience in commercial data science/ML projects and team collaboration.
