Job Title: Finance Business Analyst

Vivo Energy is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Finance Business Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a critical role in driving our organization's strategic initiatives and ensuring operational success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as a trusted advisor to the Chief Financial Officer, providing strategic financial guidance and support.
  • Coordinate and manage executive-level meetings and events, ensuring effective communication and alignment across departments.
  • Provide initial investment review and screening of prospective investment opportunities, including financial modeling and due diligence.
  • Develop and maintain detailed financial and valuation models, as well as create presentations for investment proposals and other purposes.
  • Deliver high-quality analysis, insight, and research on potential investment opportunities, and coordinate and conduct due diligence as needed.
  • Assemble and summarize data to structure sophisticated reports on financial status and risks, and compile reports and make informed recommendations on prospective investment opportunities.
  • Gain and update job knowledge to remain informed, and consult with management to guide and influence long-term and strategic decision-making.
  • Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, partners, and vendors, and develop and maintain key performance metrics and dashboards to track the company's progress.
  • Take a lead role in the company's emerging buy and build strategy, including leading target evaluation and integration planning and execution.
Requirements:
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Finance or a related field, with an MBA or similar professional qualification an advantage.
  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience in an investment banking, strategy consulting, or other professional services environment, with oil and gas/energy experience and downstream/Africa experience a plus.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PPT, with sound financial understanding of accounting knowledge and business planning/performance management.
  • Strong analytical skills, high attention to detail, and a developed commercial awareness, including knowledge of corporate strategy frameworks/tools and standard M&A processes.
  • Project management skills, including meeting coordination, actions and deliverables tracking, document management, and broad scanning and research skills.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills in English, with working knowledge of French a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence key stakeholders and work collaboratively with individuals in a matrix/project team environment, with a highly motivated and able to flourish in a fast-paced, high-commitment environment.
