The key responsibilities of this role include:

  1. Defining and implementing process improvements to meet customer requirements;
  2. Driving reduction in waste and scrap through analysis and implementation of TQM and ME processes;
  3. Ensuring compliance with environmental and safety regulations and providing a safe working environment;
  4. Meeting or exceeding customer quality requirements;
  5. Developing and maintaining process documentation and operating instructions;
  6. Conducting process capability studies to ensure quality and efficiency;
  7. Managing team attendance and performance to meet company targets;
  8. Supporting cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered as per the master schedule within the project budget;
  9. Responsible for the personal development of team members, conducting performance reviews, and managing IDPs to ensure team members are adequately trained to perform their duties;

In addition, you will work closely with various stakeholders to identify and implement improvements in processes, reduce waste, and optimize efficiency.

You will also be expected to develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and customers to ensure that their needs are met.

The role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

You will also have experience in a production engineering environment and knowledge of manufacturing excellence systems.
