This role requires an individual who is able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities with ease. As a key member of the surgical team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all procedures are executed safely and efficiently.

We are looking for an individual who possesses strong problem-solving skills, is able to analyze situations and make informed decisions, and has excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Your ability to work collaboratively with the surgical team, prioritize tasks, and maintain a safe environment will be essential to this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring effective financial management by accurately charging for services and managing stock
  • Affecting the functioning of theatre equipment and instrumentation by educating and supervising staff
  • Providing quality patient care by obtaining correct information pre-operatively and visiting patients post-operatively

Requirements:

  • Registered at SANC as a Registered Nurse with a post-basic OTNS qualification
  • At least 2 years of experience in theatre nursing
  • Proven leadership abilities and experience in a senior position
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
