Key Responsibilities:


  2. Start-up and run machine to required specification speed
  3. Perform hourly quality checks and record checks in machine record book
  4. Change paper reel and join paper to web for reel change
  5. Wipe printing plates clean as required
  6. Check level of ink in duct and top up as required
  7. Checking and maintaining of viscosity
  8. Check level of side seam and bottom glues and top up as required
  9. Perform basic lubrication of machine parts as per lubrication schedule
  10. Assisting in forming boxes
  11. Unloading and loading of print cylinders
  12. Wash up demounted stereos
  13. Cleaning of print cylinders, if appropriate
  14. Ensure area around machine is swept at the end of the shift
  15. Wrapping of full pallets with cling wrap
  16. Wash up ink trays
  17. Labeling pallets
  18. Running machine to be handed over to the next shift
  19. Capture all machine data on the shopware system
  20. Check product quality meets specification.
  21. All minder functions including the following:

  • Adjust controls to start, stop or tune machinery and equipment
  • Fine tuning and troubleshooting on machines
  • Ordering of raw material (ink, glue, paper etc.)
  • Demounting and mounting of stereos
  • Setting of print
  • Weigh and record machine waste at the completion of the shift
  • Pre-make-ready for the following job.
  • Capture all operations data on the shopware system
  • Complete new product full setup in the standard time
  • Set-up and maintain machines, tools, equipment and work areas to ensure proper functioning and safe working conditions, so as to achieve maximum output and minimal waste
  • Setting of photo cell or other control equipment on the machine.
  • Execute in depth trouble shooting to optimize machine performance
  • Inspect raw materials for defects and ensure conformance to specification
  • Report any quality issues to the Shift Technician immediately
  • Report any machine problems to the Shift Technician immediately
