Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Service Technician to join our team at Unique Personnel Ltd. As a key member of our workshop, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and servicing of vacuum pumps.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a high level of technical knowledge and stay up-to-date with industry developments.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including stripping, cleaning, testing, and building of vacuum pumps.
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues with vacuum pumps.
  • Liaise with customers to discuss fault finding and servicing requirements.
  • Travel to clients for onsite servicing and repairs when required.
  • Manage inventory levels and ensure accurate record-keeping.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve business objectives and improve processes.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will require:
  • A minimum of 3-5 years' experience working in a service workshop.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge, particularly with vacuum pumps and electrical motors.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work accurately with numbers and information.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Computer literacy, including Microsoft Outlook and Sage Pastel.
