The Hiring House is seeking a highly skilled Senior Database Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our database systems to ensure optimal performance and security.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Database Design and Implementation: Collaborate with our development team to design and implement databases that meet the needs of our business.
  • Database Security and Compliance: Ensure that our database systems are secure and compliant with industry standards and regulations.
  • Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize database performance to ensure that our systems are running efficiently and effectively.
  • Backup and Recovery: Develop and implement a backup and recovery plan to ensure that our data is protected in the event of a disaster.
  • Database Administration: Perform routine database administration tasks, including database maintenance, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with our development team, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure that database systems are aligned with business needs and goals.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Experience: 7 years of experience in IT, with at least 3-5 years of experience in database administration.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of database systems, including design, implementation, and administration. Proficiency in SQL and database management systems. Experience with cloud computing and project management is an asset.
