About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Fullstack Engineer to join our team at Collinson, a global leader in driving loyalty and engagement for many of the world's largest companies. As a Fullstack Payments Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and developing complex software systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and delivering high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop complex software systems, including clientside and serverside applications, from conception to deployment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions, ensuring seamless integration and effective communication.
  • Build the frontend of applications through appealing visual design, leveraging modern technologies and best practices.
  • Develop and manage well-functioning databases and applications, ensuring data integrity and security.
  • Design and develop effective APIs, ensuring scalability and reliability.
  • Mentor and guide other engineers, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development.
  • Stay current on industry trends and technologies, continually improving the team's technical capabilities.
  • Ensure that all software development is done to a high standard, with thorough testing and deployment in a secure and reliable manner.
  • Research and recommend ways to implement emerging payment innovations, including Open Banking, buy now pay later, and alternative digital payment methods.
  • Stay current on payment legislation changes globally, ensuring compliance and regulatory adherence.
Requirements
  • Strong technical experience leading the design and development of complex software systems.
  • Knowledge of multiple frontend and backend languages, including Node.js, React, Next.js, Typescript, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and their libraries.
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs and GraphQL, ensuring seamless integration and effective communication.
  • Familiarity with database technologies, including PostgreSQL, Redis, and MongoDB, ensuring data integrity and security.
  • Knowledge of payments processing and the wider payments industry, including experience integrating with Payment Service Providers (PSPs) such as Stripe, Braintree, Adyen, or WorldPay.
  • Understanding of mobile payments and implementation of ApplePay and/or GooglePay.
  • Experience with event-driven architectures, ensuring scalability and reliability.
  • Proficiency with Git, Confluence, Jira, and other collaboration tools, ensuring seamless communication and effective project management.
  • Basic understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, and Deployments to the cloud, ensuring scalability and reliability.
