Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Pipeline Engineer to join our team at Rand Water Recruitment.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of bulk pipeline design and hydraulic modeling, as well as knowledge of applicable design standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design large diameter steel pipelines for augmentation, repair, or renovation of the distribution network.
  2. Lead the Pipeline Design Team to execute the pipeline engineering design function.
  3. Assist in route selection, hydraulic design, and structural pipeline design.
  4. Develop and maintain knowledge of applicable design standards and industry developments.
  5. Manage the interface with other engineering design disciplines and stakeholders to accomplish integrated pipeline designs.

Requirements:

  • Formal Civil Engineering Degree B Eng or BSc Eng Civil Engineering.
  • Professional Registration with the Engineering Council of South Africa.
  • 4-6 years applicable post graduate experience with a minimum of four years' experience in the design of large diameter steel bulk water pipelines and related structures, three years construction experience.
  • Liaison and effective communication with other departments and stakeholders in the industry.
