This exciting opportunity is available within Santam Group Underwriting. As a Geospatial Information Systems Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting the technical specialist in the Risk Management Team.

  • Support the management of certain project deliverables.
  • Manage ESRI's cloud solution, ArcGIS Online.
  • Collect, clean, analyse, and visualise data.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute project deliverables.
  • Provide administrative support for the ArcGIS Online Viewer application.
  • Perform daily GIS tasks.
  • Geocode Santam policy data.
  • Conduct research and report writing.
  • Manage e-mail queries.

Requirements:

  • BSc/Bachelor's degree in Geomatics/Geoinformatics or relevant specialist degree.
  • 10-15 years' experience as a GIS Technologist/Professional.
Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate should have expertise in geospatial information systems, spatial analytics, and geocoding. Proficiency in ESRI software, Python scripting skills, and advanced knowledge in MS Office are essential. Strong communication and presentation skills are also required.
