Industrial Quality Assurance Specialist

The Quality Technician plays a vital role in ensuring the conformity of our products and contributing to the continuous improvement of our quality processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the conformity of the product delivered
- Implement and maintain the Control Plan and Self Inspection at each workstation
- Document and track non-conformity Reports in the GSI system and define corrective actions
- Analyze and identify the root cause of repetitive non-compliance and/or reworks using QRQC methods
- Update the list of defects still open and validate and close the reworks done
- Conduct in-process inspections during manufacturing of a train
- Generate reports for inspections performed
- Coordinate and manage repairs or modification projects at various car repair locations
- Audit and approve repair
- Work with engineering drawings for car modifications and New Car builds
- Maintain records of testing, information, and various metrics such as number of defective products per day
- Inspect procedures of the entire production cycle to ensure they are efficient and comply with safety standards
- Monitor the use of equipment to safety and maintenance
- Generate and submit reports to the quality manager
- Select output samples and check them using appropriate methods (measuring dimensions, testing functionality, comparing to specifications etc.)
- Alert operators using the quality visions on the defect that were detected during inspection
- Adhere to EHS rules and any work-related processes
Requirements:
- National diploma in engineering (mechanical & metallurgy), with level 3 NDT qualification in UT
- IT literate (word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Technical knowledge with 1 to 3 years' experience preferably in the railway industry, in quality, ideally in an international organization
- Knowledge about welding
- Quality assurance, quality management, Product inspection, manufacturing management, or a related field
- Mathematical, technical, and mechanical skills, knowledge of production, processing, electronics, computers; able to use analytic and scientific, database, and Excel spreadsheet, use of measuring tools
- Team spirit approach and good communication skills
This role involves frequent mobility, with work in several depots, and at times on the train corridors.
To carry out technical support and maintenance on a 24/7 shift & on-call basis (night, day, weekend).
