Responsibilities

The Environmental Services Technician plays a crucial role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff. This position involves performing various cleaning and service tasks while minimizing disruption to patients. Key responsibilities include:

  • Selecting appropriate cleaning materials and supplies.
  • Loading service carts and preparing cleaning solutions and equipment.
  • Executing general cleaning tasks as directed by a supervisor on a daily basis.

Qualifications

A High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Candidates should possess knowledge of various cleaning solutions and their appropriate applications. The ability to follow both oral and written instructions is essential. Experience with housekeeping equipment, such as vacuums, wet/dry pickups, automatic scrubbers, burnishers, buffing machines, wall washing equipment, and shampoo equipment, is preferred. Strong communication and customer service skills are also required.
