Job Purpose

The Regional Operations Manager is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lean Facilitator to join their team. As a key member of the operations team, you will be responsible for implementing Lean and World-class Manufacturing principles within the BevCo Manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement efficient and effective business operations through training and development of operations management skills, with a focus on manufacturing continuous improvement initiatives, reporting systems, and lean principles.
  • Support the development and implementation of the World Class Manufacturing Programme within the operation, driving OEE step change programs and Green Belt projects.
  • Evaluate manufacturing and production performance by gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data and metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Measure the effectiveness and efficiency of operational processes and identify opportunities for improvement, working with the regional operations manager to implement changes and achieve goals and objectives.
Operational Enhancements and Efficiencies
  • Provide manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data for the region, ensuring that accurate and timely information is available to support decision-making.
  • Act as the Shopware super-user, ensuring that the investment in the technology delivers optimal capability and supporting the development of efficient and effective business processes.
  • Engage with the regional operations manager to support the day-to-day operations of the Regional operation, ensuring that goals and objectives are achieved and that the operation is running smoothly and efficiently.
General Business, Financial, and People Management
  • Actively participate in strategic planning and budgeting processes, working with the regional operations manager to develop and implement plans that support the achievement of business objectives.
  • Drive continuous improvement through streamlining and optimizing relevant operational practices, processes, and systems, ensuring that the operation is running efficiently and effectively.
  • Ensure adherence to operational and financial frameworks, practices, processes, standards, and controls, ensuring that the operation is compliant with all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Manage cost drivers and take necessary action to mitigate financial risk and address variances and discrepancies, ensuring that the operation is running within budget and that financial objectives are achieved.
  • Ensure that the right people capacity is in place and manage employee performance through effective and goal-directed people leadership, ensuring that employees are motivated and engaged and that the operation is running smoothly and efficiently.
Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate will have a BEng Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering, with at least 3 years of experience within a manufacturing environment. FMCG experience is advantageous.
