About the Role

ThyssenKrupp Presta AG is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team in the design and development of pressure vessels and process plants. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for the specification and design of pressure containing equipment, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, codes, and standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement design specifications for pressure vessels and process plants
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design integrity and compliance with company standards
  • Participate in process design and development, including PFD, P&ID, and HAZOP studies
  • Review and approve vendor documentation to ensure design integrity and compliance with specifications
  • Supervise fabrication and erection on site, ensuring adherence to company standards and regulatory requirements
Requirements

Education:
A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Registration with the Engineering Council of SA (ECSA) or in the process of registration is required.

Additional Requirements:
Proficiency in MS Office and software programs for pressure vessel design and technical equipment specifications. Knowledge of statutory requirements for pressure vessels and pressurized equipment (PER and SANS 347) is essential.

Experience:
Minimum 8 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on pressure vessel design and process plant development.
