Job Overview

As a Firefighter with the Fidelity Services Group, you will play a critical role in protecting lives and property in the Western Cape. You will be responsible for responding to emergency situations, including fires, rescues, and humanitarian incidents.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate about fire safety and emergency response. As a Firefighter, you will work closely with a team of dedicated professionals to prevent and mitigate the effects of fires and other emergencies. Your key responsibilities will include:
  1. Responding to emergency calls and providing assistance to those in need.
  2. Extricating and releasing casualties from hazardous situations.
  3. Conducting safety inspections to identify potential fire hazards and implementing preventative measures.
  4. Participating in training exercises to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and competencies:
  1. Grade 12 as a minimum school qualification.
  2. IFSAC Accreditation.
  3. NFPA 1001 Firefighter 2 certification.
  4. Valid code C1 drivers license with PrDP.
  5. Advanced driving experience advantageous.
  6. Medically and physically fit.
  7. Good understanding and practice of Fire prevention procedures.
  8. Hazmat experience and knowledge essential.
  9. EMT certification.
