Key Responsibilities:

  • ">
  • Supervise all on-site engineering activities related to marine projects, ensuring work is carried out in accordance with design specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards.">
  • Manage and coordinate teams of engineers, technicians, and subcontractors, ensuring tasks are completed on time and within scope.">
  • Monitor project progress, including quality checks, compliance with safety protocols, and adherence to project schedules. Address any issues or delays promptly.">
  • Enforce and promote a strong safety culture on-site, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and protocols specific to marine projects.">
  • Maintain detailed records of work performed, changes to project plans, and any issues encountered. Provide regular updates to senior management on site progress and challenges.">

Requirements:

Essential Qualifications:

  • ">
  • Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related field.">
  • 1-10 years experience in a site supervisor or marine engineering role, ideally in shipbuilding or marine construction projects.">
  • Strong understanding of marine engineering principles, shipbuilding processes, and maritime safety standards.">
  • Fluency in Afrikaans (both written and spoken).">
