Position Title: Airline Cash Administrator

Location: OR Thambo, Gauteng

Salary: R13 000 to R15 000 a month CTC

Contract Duration: 6 Month Contract

A prominent company in the travel retail industry is seeking a committed Airline Cash Administrator. This role requires a solid understanding of financial oversight, cash handling, and foreign currency management, all conducted with the highest ethical standards and integrity. The organization plays a significant role in the travel retail sector, focusing on retail food & beverages, duty-free items, and innovative technologies for a global clientele.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Completed Grade 12 with Mathematics and Accounting
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Intermediate Excel skills and familiarity with MS TEAMS

Responsibilities:

  • Record daily cash receipts categorized by currency and airline
  • Perform daily cash reconciliations per currency and airline
  • Prepare necessary documentation for banking foreign exchange transactions
  • Report any cash discrepancies to the Cash & Recon Team Leader
  • Disburse petty cash as required
  • Manage daily tips distribution for airline crews
  • Complete necessary forms for crew petty cash and tips
  • Maintain organized filing of issued petty cash records
  • Timely communication of cash shortages to the Cash & Recon Team Leader
  • Compile daily and weekly reports on cash discrepancies
  • Conduct regular filing activities
  • Ensure compliance with organizational standards
  • Foster and maintain client relationships to uphold quality and performance integrity
  • Demonstrate initiative and work collaboratively across the organization
