Key Responsibilities:
As a Senior Accountant at Werksmag Consilium Pty Ltd, you will be responsible for:
  1. Preparing annual financial statements in accordance with accounting principles and regulations;
  2. Managing monthly and quarterly financial closing processes for management accounts preparation;
  3. Ensuring VAT compliance and processing in line with the VAT Act;
  4. Overseeing payroll processing and ensuring accurate records;
  5. Identifying process improvement opportunities and enhancing firm efficiency;
  6. Analyzing financial data and generating reports for management and clients;
  7. Conducting ad hoc financial reporting and data collection as required.

Requirements:
To be considered for this role, you must have:
  • A Bachelors degree or Diploma in Accounting and Taxation;
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in an accounting practice;
  • Proficiency in Draftworx, Xero, Sage, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook);
  • Extensive experience with SARS tax submissions and compliance;
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills;
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial reporting.
