Sustainability Visionary

We are seeking an exceptional Sustainability Visionary to join our team at Recru-it. As the Chief Sustainability Officer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our company's sustainability strategy and ensuring its successful implementation.

As a seasoned professional with 5-10 years of senior management experience, you will be responsible for leading our sustainability initiatives and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive environmental excellence.

The ideal candidate will possess a post-graduate degree in Environmental Science and Sustainability or a related field, along with strong knowledge of local and international environmental standards and systems.

This is a highly competitive salary range based on industry standards and your extensive experience in sustainability leadership.

In this critical role, you will:

• Establish and implement sustainability policies, procedures, and best practices across the organization.
• Create awareness and educate staff on sustainability principles and practices.
• Develop and execute comprehensive sustainability strategies with clear goals and targets.
• Supervise employees working on sustainability projects and provide guidance and support as needed.
• Play an advisory role on sustainability matters to Executive Management and the Board.
• Analyze research and identify relevant information to inform sustainability decisions.
• Work with Marketing & Communications to promote sustainability initiatives and represent the company externally.
• Evaluate and approve proposals for sustainability projects, considering factors such as cost-effectiveness and technical feasibility.
• Develop tools and systems to monitor performance and implement strategies.
• Assess, analyze, and report sustainability performance data to stakeholders.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• A post-graduate degree in Environmental Science and Sustainability or a related field.
• Minimum 5-10 years of senior management experience in sustainability leadership.
• Strong knowledge of local and international environmental standards and systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Superlative problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to analyze and understand research and identify relevant information.
