Job Summary:

The Plant Manager is responsible for overseeing all daily operations of the plant, ensuring policies and procedures are followed, and driving continuous improvement and optimization of all processes. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing production, ensuring safety standards, and achieving operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operational Excellence: Plan, organize, direct, and run optimum day-to-day operations to exceed customer expectations.
  • Production Optimization: Increase production, assets capacity, and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards.
  • Quality and Safety: Be responsible for production output, product quality, and on-time shipping, while ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Resource Allocation: Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results.
  • Strategic Leadership: Implement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus.
  • Operational Monitoring: Monitor operations and trigger corrective actions to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Team Management: Share a trusting relationship with workgroup and recruit, manage, and develop plant staff.
  • Process Improvement: Collect and analyze data to find places of waste or overtime and develop systems and processes to optimize productivity and standards.
  • Employee Relations: Address employees' issues or complaints and maintain a positive work environment.
  • Industry Knowledge: Stay up to date with the latest production management best practices and concepts.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelors degree in Business Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Proven experience as a Plant Manager or in a similar managerial role.
  • Skills: Adept at communicating with excellent organizational and leadership skills, demonstrated understanding of financial and operational concepts, and familiarity with industry-standard equipment and technical expertise.
  • Personal Attributes: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, strong problem-solving and analytical skills, high attention to detail and organizational skills, ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities, proactive and self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
Working Conditions:
  • Work is performed in a manufacturing plant environment.
  • May be required to work some evenings and weekends to meet deadlines.
  • Exposure to machinery and noise.
