Role Overview

The Metal Accountant will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of our metal accounting processes. This position requires a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual with experience in metal control and mass balancing.

Main Responsibilities
  • Trend Analysis: Analyze trends in plant performance to identify areas for improvement.
  • Data Verification: Verify that technical data is accurate and reliable.
  • Reporting: Compile accurate and concise reports on a regular basis, as required by management.
  • Liaison: Liaise with operations management to ensure effective process control and coordination.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: A Metallurgical or Chemical Engineering Degree is essential, along with a minimum of 2 years' experience in a metal accounting role.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years' experience on PGM plants, with sound knowledge of metal control for PGM and base metals.
  • Skills: Good computer literacy and administration skills are essential, along with a valid certificate of fitness and a code 8 driver's license.
