Purpose of the Position: The Quality Engineer L1 (QE) will assist in executing test cases, reporting defects, and gaining exposure to automation tools and software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies. Key accountabilities include developing and executing manual tests, collaborating with developers and other team members to identify and resolve software defects, reviewing and providing feedback on software requirements and specifications, and participating in software development life cycle activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Report results and issues out of testing to delivery teams.
  2. Develop and execute manual tests to ensure the quality of software products.
  3. Collaborate with developers and other team members to identify, diagnose, and resolve software defects.
  4. Review and provide feedback on software requirements and specifications.
  5. Participate in software development life cycle activities, including design reviews, code reviews, and testing.
  6. Stay current with industry standards and emerging technologies.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 6 months to 2 years of experience in software testing or a related field.
  • Exposure to manual testing and familiarity with test case execution and defect tracking.
  • Basic understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and software testing life cycle (STLC).
  • Experience with test management tools is a plus.
