Job Description:

At Deka Minas Pty Ltd, we are seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer to join our team. This role will involve designing, building, and maintaining scalable and reliable platform infrastructure using modern technologies and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cloud Infrastructure Design: Develop and implement scalable, reliable, and secure cloud infrastructure using modern technologies and best practices.
  • Cloud Environment Management: Manage and optimize cloud environments (AWS, GCP) to ensure high availability, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
  • Infrastructure as Code: Implement infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform, Ansible, and CloudFormation to automate the provisioning and management of resources.
  • Continuous Integration and Deployment: Design and maintain continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to automate the build, test, and deployment processes.
  • Monitoring and Logging: Set up and maintain monitoring and logging systems to ensure the health and performance of the platform.
  • Security: Implement security best practices to protect infrastructure and applications, including identity and access management, encryption, and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Patch Management: Apply software updates to Linux, Windows, and databases.
  • Network Management: Maintain, secure, and enhance the AndileHQ office network according to industry best practices.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance of applications.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve infrastructure-related issues to ensure minimal downtime and disruption.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for infrastructure, processes, and procedures.
  • Research and Development: Research emerging technologies to build into the platform and assess their potential impact.

Requirements:
  • 1-3 years of experience in systems engineering/administration.
  • 1-3 years of experience with virtualization platforms.
  • 1-3 years of experience coordinating activities of technology product and service vendors and leading technical infrastructure design activities.
  • 1-3 years of experience in one or more hyperscaler's such as GCP or AWS.
  • Foundational knowledge in Python, Golang, or NodeJS.
  • Proficient in scripting bash scripting.
  • Proficient in Linux and Windows system administration.

Qualifications/Certifications:
  • Degree or equivalent with 1 to 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Certifications in one or more hyperscaler's such as Google, AWS, or Azure.
