Job Title: Occupational Healthcare Nurse

At SA Metal Group (Pty) Ltd, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Occupational Healthcare Nurse to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality occupational healthcare services to our employees.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Deliver 80% of occupational healthcare services and 20% of primary healthcare services.
  2. Manage the administrative and operational activities of the primary health care and occupational health care clinic.
  3. Conduct and review health risk assessments annually or as required.
  4. Perform and monitor medical and biological surveillance within the prescribed Company protocol.
  5. Maintain and assist with the management of the Company chronic disease program.
  6. Maintain statutory and internal company Covid-19 procedures and program.
  7. Keep record of all activities conducted.
  8. File and maintain legally required documents.
  9. Oversee and assist with maintenance of the clinic equipment.
  10. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  11. Compile necessary clinic management reports.
Qualifying Criteria
  1. Nursing Diploma / Degree.
  2. Occupational Health Nurse qualification recognized by South African Nurse Council.
  3. PHC qualification / experience.
  4. Spirometry, Audiometry and Visual screening.
  5. HIV / AIDS certificate and / or experience.
  6. Registration with SANC / SASOHN.
  7. 5 years relevant work experience.
  8. Knowledge of driver's medical.
  9. Experience in the treatment of Injuries on Duty.
  10. Dispensing license.
  11. Proficiency with MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
  12. Valid Driver's license and own reliable transport.
