Exciting Opportunity for a Group Tax Accountant

CA Financial Appointments is seeking a highly skilled Group Tax Accountant to join our finance team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for handling tax inquiries, complex tax issues, and providing financial advice to stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize tax research tools to resolve tax matters and provide expert advice to stakeholders
  • Review tax requirements and provide financial guidance to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations
  • Advise on tax regulations specific to non-profit organizations (NPOs) and ensure compliance with tax authorities and exemptions
  • Maintain relationships with offshore tax advisors and ensure compliance with tax authorities and regulations
  • Ensure accurate tax accounting and compliance for multinational group entities, handle CIT calculations, returns, and deferred tax
  • Manage Central Finance's tax admin VAT, WHT, and payroll tax, review related documents
  • Prepare and review tax computations, maintain compliance and accuracy
  • Manage Tax Admin, liaise with revenue authorities
  • Respond to tax authorities, conduct tax health checks, obtain tax clearance certificates
  • Liaise internally, ensure timely filing of quarterly and annual tax returns for clients
  • Monitor client tax compliance, review tax reports, and produce key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Manage tax audits and administrative compliance, remediation of issues when necessary
  • Maintain group tax tracking schedules and prepare management and shareholder reports on tax status
  • Stay up-to-date with tax regulatory developments across all relevant countries, ensure the business is compliant with the latest regulations

Requirements:

  • Minimum of a completed professional accreditation in a relevant field (e.g., SAIT, SAIPA, ACCA, SAIBA, AGA(SA), or CA(SA))
  • Minimum of 5 years post-article experience in tax, within a multinational or accounting practice
  • 5 years relevant experience in a corporate tax environment, experience in dealing with auditors and tax authorities
  • Advanced MS Excel, numerical ability, and high attention to detail
  • Advanced knowledge of Sage preferred
