Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Grain Milling Professional to join our team at ALOS Innovative Workforce Solution (Pty) Ltd. This role is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of our mill, from raw material intake to final product delivery.

About You

You will be an experienced Miller with a strong background in milling mealies. Your expertise in managing mill processes, including quality control, maintenance, and people management, is essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the mill's daily operations, ensuring that all processes are running smoothly and efficiently.
  • Maintain high-quality standards by monitoring and controlling the milling process, sampling, and testing new materials.
  • Develop and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime and optimize equipment efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the Head Miller/Production Manager to achieve production targets and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Grade 12 qualification
  • Trade Tested Miller qualification as per GMF
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a qualified Miller with extensive milling experience, particularly in milling mealies
  • Fumigation and grading experience
  • Ability to work shifts, including overtime when necessary
  • Experience with PLCs is an advantage
