Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Engineer - Backend Development to join our team at Capitec. As a key member of our development squad, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, deploying, maintaining, and enhancing complex software systems and applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement scalable, high-performance server-side components that power our application's functionality.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of software systems and applications.
  • Guide and support developers and stakeholders in scoping, progress, status, and resolution of engineering problems.

Requirements:

  • 6+ years' proven experience in back-end software development, project delivery, and implementation.
  • Strong knowledge of back-end frameworks and technologies.
  • Expertise in IT systems development processes (SDLC), application development, and advanced programming concepts.
  • Familiarity with database systems and query optimization, RESTful API design and integration, cloud computing platforms, and containerization.
