Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead the accounting department's efforts to prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly management accounts and annual financial statements.
  2. Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
  3. Serve as a liaison between the accounting department and other departments within the organization, providing support and guidance as needed.
  4. Maintain relationships with clients and/or business partners, identifying their needs and providing tailored solutions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Completed articles with South African Institute of Professional Accountants (SAIPA).
  • Professional Accountant (SA) or Associate General Accountant (AGA(SA)) certification.
  • Member of a recognized accounting body such as SAICA, SAIPA, or SAIBA.
  • Over 6 years' experience in an accounting environment or as a partner in an accounting firm.
