Responsibilities:

* Review and edit content for grammar, style, and accuracy

* Manage the production schedule and ensure timely delivery of all content
* Fact-check articles, ensuring that all information is accurate and properly sourced
* Work closely with the design and marketing teams to produce engaging and visually appealing content
* Ensure consistency in style, tone, and quality across all platforms (web, print, social media, etc.)
* Stay updated on trends in the industry to ensure content relevance and competitiveness
* Provide feedback and coaching to junior writers or content contributors
* Maintain and update editorial style guides as needed

Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field
* Previous experience in a news environment is essential
* Proven experience as an Editor, with a strong portfolio of edited works
* Exceptional command of the English language, including grammar and punctuation
* Strong attention to detail and an eye for improving content structure and readability
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
* Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and SEO best practices is a plus
* Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise effectively
* Knowledge of digital media platforms, including social media, blogs, and newsletters
* Experience working with design software or familiarity with layout and formatting is an advantage
