Role Summary:

  • We are seeking an experienced Fitter & Turner to join our team in East London.

About the Role:

  • This is a challenging role for a skilled machinist who can fabricate components according to engineering drawings.
  • The ideal candidate will have strong Centre Lathe and Milling Machine experience, with Mig and Tig Welding skills as a bonus.
  • The role involves fitting and general turning and machining, measuring and cutting materials to specifications.
  • You will be responsible for ensuring that the workshop is run smoothly and safely, repairing machine components and checking finished work to ensure it meets tolerance requirements.
  • Maintenance support and troubleshooting skills are essential, as well as the ability to prioritize tasks and follow written instructions.
  • The successful candidate will also be expected to work with apprentices to upskill and develop their skills.

Job Requirements:

  • Trade Tested qualification
  • At least 5-10 years proven experience in manufacturing or general engineering environment.
