Job Summary

SPARK Schools is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Mathematical Sciences Educator to join our team. As a key member of our faculty, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality education to our students, driving academic achievement, and contributing to a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, teach, and co-teach face-to-face and distance lessons to deliver academic and extracurricular programs.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop rigorous and engaging learning experiences, and create individualized behavior and learning plans for students.
  • Participate in professional development sessions to enhance teaching skills and stay up-to-date with curriculum developments.
  • Assess student progress, analyze data, and intervene when necessary to ensure student growth and achievement.
  • Lead social-emotional development through Character Quotient sessions and reflections.
  • Develop and implement programs to support struggling students and extend opportunities for high-achieving students.
  • Participate in place-based education and career pathways initiatives to enrich student learning.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues, parents, and stakeholders to ensure a positive and supportive learning environment.
Requirements
  • English language fluency.
  • Completed degree or PGCE in Mathematical Sciences and Mathematical Literacy FET.
  • Minimum 3-5 years teaching experience with at least 2 years of successful matric pass.
  • SACE registration.
  • Clear/Clean criminal record.
