Senior Microbiologist

We are seeking an experienced Senior Microbiologist to join our team at Aspen Pharma Group in East London. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading laboratory operations, ensuring quality and compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) standards.

• Lead microbiological testing on raw materials, water, cleaning, and environmental samples, as well as in-process and final products.
• Review and ensure compliance of documentation according to pharmaceutical standards.
• Develop and implement plans to control contamination levels and sources.
• Perform sampling and testing of the external environment according to SOPs and sampling plans.
• Manage and coordinate the use, maintenance, and calibration of testing equipment.

To be successful in this role, you will require:

• A National Diploma in Microbiology with 6+ years of experience in a similar role.
• Advanced knowledge of microbiological testing methods and pharmaceutical manufacturing processes.
• Ability to interpret and implement policies, processes, and objectives.
