Job Summary

HR Genie is seeking an experienced Raw Materials Buyer to join our team. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for sourcing high-quality raw materials for our skincare products, ensuring timely delivery and cost-effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Source and procure raw materials required for skincare product manufacturing, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts and managing long-term partnerships.
  • Monitor market trends and identify new sourcing opportunities to ensure a consistent supply of materials at competitive prices.
  • Evaluate supplier performance based on price, quality, and delivery reliability, conducting regular assessments and reviews.
  • Collaborate with production and quality assurance teams to ensure all raw materials meet required specifications and regulatory standards.
  • Manage inventory levels of raw materials, optimizing stock control to avoid shortages or excess.
  • Process purchase orders and ensure all procurement activities are documented accurately and in compliance with company policies.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, material innovations, and environmental sustainability practices to enhance procurement strategies.
  • Identify and mitigate any supply chain risks or disruptions, ensuring continuity in production processes.
Requirements
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills for managing supplier relationships.
  • In-depth understanding of procurement processes and best practices, particularly in the skincare or cosmetics industry.
  • Ability to analyze market trends and make informed purchasing decisions.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to manage multiple suppliers and procurement activities.
  • Problem-solving abilities, particularly in handling supply chain issues or disruptions.
  • Knowledge of quality control standards and regulatory requirements for raw materials in skincare manufacturing.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a procurement role, with specific experience in sourcing raw materials for skincare, cosmetics, or similar industries.
  • Proven experience in supplier management and contract negotiations.
  • Strong knowledge of the skincare industry and familiarity with raw materials used in product formulations.
  • Experience in sustainability practices within procurement is a plus.
Qualifications
  • A relevant degree or diploma in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field.
