Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Balance-of-Plant Engineer to join our team at Mass Staffing Projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in renewable energy plants, with a focus on wind and solar projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Interface with consulting engineers to resolve design issues, optimize design and pricing parameters, and negotiate contracts with EPC contractors and turbine suppliers.
  2. Active involvement in tendering and bidding for wind and solar projects, including negotiations with subcontractors and budgeting provisions.
  3. Assist with design of interconnection works, HV lines, substations, and grid access control interface, and provide technical input for financial close of successfully awarded projects.
  4. Project management, interface with LTA, contractors, Eskom, Lenders, and delegation of tasks to junior engineers.
Requirements:
  1. Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  2. 8-15 years' experience in renewable energy plants, with extensive experience in BOP engineering and designing.
  3. Strong understanding of EPC and O&M agreements, tendering, and bidding processes.
