Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular inspections of premises and equipment to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including repairs and replacements, to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including schedules, reports, and inventory.
  • Collaborate with contractors and suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective repairs and replacements.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures to minimize downtime and optimize resource allocation.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations, and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Provide guidance and training to junior staff members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices to ensure the team is equipped with the latest knowledge and techniques.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in maintenance and facilities management.
  • Grade 12 certificate or equivalent, with relevant technical training or certifications.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and service excellence.
  • Code 10 driver's license and PDP and Hazchem certificate.
