  • Respond promptly to breakdowns to ensure minimal downtime.
  • Manage the inventory of spare parts in the department's storage.
  • Uphold 5S principles in designated work areas.
  • Conduct safety inspections of machinery health during job transitions.
  • Assemble and construct mechanical systems as required.
  • Interpret and analyze mechanical system blueprints.
  • Repair any defective machine components encountered during shifts.
  • Refurbish filling, screw capping, and corking systems and equipment.

Performance Metrics

  • Effectively repair machine parts and notify the manager or shift supervisor of unresolved breakdowns within the required timeframe.
  • Regularly check machine health during job transitions.
  • Organize spare parts in departmental storage systematically to ensure quick access during breakdowns.
  • Maintain 5S standards in respective areas.
  • Perform tasks and inspections in accordance with Quality Assurance protocols and relevant industry standards.

Qualifications

  • ITI or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
  • A minimum of 3 to 4 years of relevant experience.

Skills Required

  • In-depth technical knowledge of mechanical systems.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical maintenance and total preventive maintenance practices.
  • Familiarity with heating systems.
  • Experience with rotating equipment.
  • Proficient in oil management practices.
