Job Overview

The Auto Body Technician is responsible for providing outstanding customer satisfaction through expert vehicle repair and restoration. This individual must have a strong foundation in auto body repair techniques and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Primary Responsibilities

  1. Execute repair work according to our service standards, ensuring timely completion of work orders.
  2. Assess vehicle damage and develop accurate repair plans, preparing cost estimates for customers.
  3. Dismantle, repair, and reassemble vehicle sections, using various tools such as cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers, and pliers.
  4. Realize the full potential of our team members by working collaboratively and maintaining a positive work environment.
  5. Sustain a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for process enhancements and implementing changes as needed.

Requirements

  1. High school diploma or equivalent required.
  2. Successful completion of technical school program OR a 3-year apprenticeship as an auto body repairer.

Skills and Qualifications

  1. Ability to read job orders and work independently with minimal supervision.
  2. Capacity to work effectively with other team members.
  3. Thorough understanding of methods and procedures for repairing vehicle bodies.
  4. Proficiency in using tools required for the trade.

Work Environment

  1. Must be able to work safely in a noisy area with various odors present.
  2. Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times.
  3. Must be able to visually inspect vehicle damage in diverse weather conditions.
  4. Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and inspections.
