This is a critical position at South32, requiring an Engineer Reliability with expertise in managing asset integrity and implementing reliability, availability, and maintainability (RAM) concepts.
The key responsibilities of this role include:
- Developing and maintaining systems and processes that ensure effective management of asset and asset systems risk.
- Establishing total cost of ownership models to identify areas for improvement and initiate corresponding projects.
- Creating asset care plans, corrective task lists, and work instructions for assets and asset systems before commissioning.
- Providing technical support to peers and colleagues to ensure project success.
- Evaluating asset investment proposals and using RAM analysis to provide total cost of ownership models.
- Participating in the Hillside Safety Strategy by identifying hazards, conducting risk assessments, and promoting workplace safety engagement.
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A minimum of 4–6 years' experience in Heavy Industry / Mining within Maintenance of Mechanical Plant Equipment.
- Advantageous experience in Analysis and Improvement, plant Mechanical Equipment, Root Cause Analysis, and Analytical Techniques.
- Essential experience in various types of plant Mechanical Equipment and working on SAP.
Required qualifications include a Degree / BTECH or National Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, and Industrial Engineering. At South32, we value diversity and inclusivity in our workforce.
