About the Job

We are seeking a Stage and Special Effects Lighting Expert to join our crew onboard our cruise ships. As a key member of our technical crew, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of all lighting equipment, including stage lighting, spotlights, and special effects lighting.

Responsibilities

  • Design and Implementation: Design and implement lighting plans for shows and events, working closely with our entertainment team.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure that all lighting equipment is properly maintained and repaired to meet safety standards.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain an inventory of all lighting equipment and ensure it is properly stored and maintained.
  • Loading and Unloading: Assist with the loading and unloading of lighting equipment during port calls.
  • Record Keeping: Keep updated records of all maintenance and repairs performed on lighting equipment.

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years experience as a Lighting Technician, preferably in a live entertainment setting.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of lighting equipment, including DMX programming and lighting consoles.
  • Skills: Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues, excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Flexibility: Flexibility to work long hours and adapt to changing schedules.
  • Physical Abilities: Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
