We are seeking an exceptional Senior Front-End Engineering Team Lead to join our dynamic team at Electrum Payments, a leading provider of cloud-native software solutions for financial transactions. About the Role:

  • As a Senior Front-End Engineering Team Lead, you will be responsible for leading a team of software engineers, driving project success, ensuring high-quality deliverables, and fostering a collaborative team culture.
  • You will also lead the team in implementing and optimizing front-end technologies, architecting robust front-end solutions for cloud applications, and collaborating closely with back-end teams to create seamless full-stack products.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Expertise
  • Contribute towards the development of software projects, setting a high standard for technical excellence.
  • Design and review architectural solutions to ensure they meet business requirements.
Software Delivery
  • Work with cross-functional teams to define, prioritize, and execute projects, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
  • Apply software development methodologies to ensure projects are delivered on time and with high quality.
Team Leadership
  • Set clear goals and objectives for team members, monitoring their progress and providing guidance and support.
  • Cultivate and support the professional and personal growth of every team member, empowering them to advance in their careers.
  • Create a shared sense of purpose among the team, fostering a deep commitment to their work.
  • Understand the vision and strategy of Electrum Payments and play an influential role in ensuring the company's goals are achieved.
  • Recognize talent gaps within the team and actively recruit to fill them.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
  • 2-3 years of experience leading a front-end software development team.
  • 2+ years of experience working as a developer in a software development team.
  • Proficiency in HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Experience with modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular).
  • Familiarity with front-end testing frameworks (e.g., Jest).
  • Proven ability to mentor and guide team members in front-end development best practices.

Estimated Salary: R 1,200,000 - R 1,500,000 per annum, depending on experience.
