Motorcycle Courier

Main Responsibilities

• Guarantee customer satisfaction and maintain good client relationships
• Ensure strict compliance with health and safety regulations
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients
• Conduct thorough pre-departure inspections of the motorcycle
• Handle customer inquiries and pass relevant information to the line manager
• Effectively manage expenses to optimize delivery efficiency
• Transport goods safely and efficiently to and from designated locations
• Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times
• Assist with loading and unloading packages and materials
• Adjust delivery routes to minimize traffic congestion and road construction
• Inform management promptly of any traffic tickets issued to the company vehicle
• Report any incidents or accidents on the road
• Ensure the company vehicle is parked in designated areas to avoid towing
• Maintain the company vehicle in a clean and well-maintained condition
• Provide accurate records of the company vehicle's arrival and departure times
• Report any accidents, injuries, or vehicle damage to management
• Ensure the company vehicle's license is up-to-date and compliant with roadworthiness regulations
• Schedule regular servicing for the company vehicle at 3000 km intervals
• Order and refuel the motorcycle as needed, using 95 Unleaded petrol
• Lubricate the motorcycle chain regularly
• Park and lock the company vehicle securely before the end of each shift
• Develop and maintain an efficient delivery route or area
• Utilize a motorcycle to perform delivery duties
• Handle multiple packages simultaneously
• Employ strong communication and navigation skills
• Navigate safely through busy city streets and around obstacles

Requirements and Qualifications

• Knowledge of general routes and directions
• Background, knowledge, and experience in motorcycle riding
• Valid Code A Driver's license
• Experience with customer deliveries in the Gauteng area
• Knowledge of Customs regulations (an advantage)
• High school certificate
• Minimum 5 years of experience in motorcycle riding
