Job Overview

The Fidelity Services Group is a leading provider of fire and emergency services, seeking a highly skilled Fire Protection Specialist to join our team. This role will play a critical part in ensuring the safety and security of our clients and their properties.

Salary and Benefits

Our competitive salary for this position is R 150,000 - R 200,000 per annum, based on experience. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, successful candidates can expect to receive:

Key Responsibilities

As a Fire Protection Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  1. Responding to fires and emergencies in a professional and timely manner
  2. Conducting regular equipment maintenance and inspections to ensure optimal performance
  3. Providing training and guidance to junior firefighters on best practices and procedures
  4. Participating in departmental health and safety committee meetings to identify and mitigate potential risks
  5. Operating a range of heavy and specialized vehicles and equipment in emergency situations
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, applicants must possess:

  • A minimum Grade 12 qualification
  • IFSAC Accredited NFPA 1001 Firefighter 2 certification
  • At least 2-3 years of relevant experience as a firefighter
  • A valid C1/EC driver's license with PRDP
  • Advanced driving experience an advantage
Working Conditions

This role requires frequent exposure to physically demanding environments, including high-pressure situations and hazardous materials. Applicants must be medically and physically fit to meet the demands of this position.
