Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Information Security Analyst to join our team at Sanlam. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for assisting, performing, and reporting on key information security activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in user access and identity management on applications, operating systems, storage, databases, and SFTP.
  • Report and follow up on Anti-Malware, Anti-Virus, and Security patching of all IT-related hardware and software.
  • Investigate and resolve logical access incidents.
  • Provide after-hours and weekend support as part of project involvement and when required.
  • Document and update necessary processes and procedures.
  • Assist and respond to audit requirements in a timely manner.
  • Conduct and complete regular access reviews in allocated timeframes.
  • Actively investigate solutions to improve security processes.
  • Assist in preparing reports of findings to be reported to management.
  • Conduct technical and administrative activities as required from a project and day-to-day perspective.
  • Maintain and build upon security-related policies and procedures.
  • Provide in-house hands-on problem investigation, troubleshooting, diagnosis, and support to other internal staff and IT team members.

Requirements

  • Understanding of IT and Information Security.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Matric, IT-related certificate, or related qualification from a tertiary institution.
  • Experience with Windows/Linux server administration is advantageous.
  • 3 years' experience in information security or a related field.
